Around the seventies of the last century, an old silver fork was found in the moat around the Menkemaborg in Uithuizen. From generation to generation it was eventually brought back to the Menkemaborg. But they would never know how this fork ended up there. But in honor of the silver fork, the Friends of the Menkemaborg organized a writing competition called "How the fork is in the handle." Adults and children wrote stories and drawings about how the fork could end up there. I have been asked to bundle all these stories in this book for all the candidates for the association of friends of the Menkemaborg. The design is inspired by the patterns that can be found around the Menkemaborg.
